Flight attendant Miss. Neerja Bhanot was the daughter of Mr. Harish Bhanot, a Bombay-primarily based journalist, and Mrs. Rama Bhanot. She became the darling of her circle of relatives, which protected brothers, all of whom called her their ‘lado’. She is the Brave daughter of all over India.

Neerja Bhanot is an Indian head purser who died at the same time as saving passengers on Pan Am Flight 73 which had been hijacked via terrorists for the duration of a stopover in Karachi, Pakistan, on five September 1986, simply days earlier than her 23rd birthday. She had the choice to save herself first, but she chose to save others.




For her bravery, the authorities of India posthumously provided Bhanot the Ashoka Chakra Award, India's highest gallantry award for bravery within the face of the enemy for the duration of peacetime. She is the youngest recipient and the primary female recipient of this award. She became additionally bestowed with the "u.S.A. In February 2016, her brother Aneesh Bhanot posted an e-book named "The Neerja I Knew." This becomes published as a tribute to Neerja Bhanot.
